Here are our favorite maternity leggings.

Hue Women's Cotton Ultra Maternity Leggings

Full and Flawless

These leggings were designed to prevent pressure on any specific part of the belly. They offer a wide waistband, superb fit, and non-see-through fabric. They also act as gentle shapewear, giving you a flattering figure while still keeping their comfortable feel.

Got these leggings and they've become my go-to pair! I love the color options and found a perfect top to match. They fit well and are not too thick, making them ideal for summer wear. They're super soft and stretchy, flattering my figure without being see-through. The only downside is they're a bit long, but I can easily adjust them to work with my outfits.

Motherhood French Terry Maternity Leggings

Comfort in Disguise

The thick material and pocket details make these look like real pants — but they’re actually comfy leggings. Nobody in the office will mind if you show up to work in this professional-looking pair.

Personal Perspective

Definitely a great addition to my pregnancy wardrobe, these leggings provide comfort and versatility. The soft, stretchy band accommodates my growing belly without any discomfort, while the back pockets add a stylish touch and conveniently hold my cell phone. Although the material is not too thick and may attract lint, it is perfect for cooler days and the leggings have held up well through multiple washes.

Preggers Footless Compression Maternity Leggings

Clever 2-in-1 Option

If you’re at work all day or have young children, it can be hard to find time to put your feet up to prevent swelling, varicose veins, and muscle fatigue. Compression stockings help improve circulation in the legs during pregnancy and can help prevent these conditions. But with these leggings, you won’t need compression stockings because they function as both.

For someone who is pregnant and requires compression leggings, these are a decent option. The fit is good and they provide some support for the belly, but the compression could be stronger for those with circulation and varicose vein issues. The material is thin and somewhat transparent, so they are best worn under long shirts or dresses. The durability could be better, as some users experienced seams coming undone after a short period of use.

Foucome Capri Maternity Leggings

High-Quality Must Have

These leggings have a 3D belly panel for a good fit instead of the simple stretchy fabric some leggings have. The panel culminates in a V-shaped back for optimal support without extra fabric. This function also helps to reduce lower back pressure.

First-Hand Impression

In my experience, these maternity leggings have been a fantastic addition to my wardrobe during pregnancy. The soft, stretchy material provides ample room for my growing belly, ensuring lasting comfort throughout each trimester. I've found them to be quite versatile, as they're opaque enough to be worn as pants but also work well under skirts and dresses. Despite frequent use, I haven't encountered any issues with pilling or unpleasant smells. The adjustable waistband is an added bonus, as I anticipate it will come in handy postpartum.

Foucome Maternity Bootcut Dress Pants

Goes with Everything

These leggings are so thick and deceptive that they’re even marketed as “pants.” But make no mistake, they’re leggings. They’ve got a flattering and form-fitting dedsign, but their polyester/nylon/spandex construction will keep you super warm and comfy.

User Experience

After purchasing these maternity pants, I found them to be extremely comfortable and versatile for various occasions, including work. The adjustable belly panel and stretchy material accommodate different stages of pregnancy, making them a great investment. However, the color did fade after one wash, giving them a more casual appearance. Keep in mind that they run a bit large, so consider ordering your pre-pregnancy size or even sizing down for a better fit.

Ingrid & Isabel Workout Capri

Sporty and Stylish

These workout pants have a belly panel to hold them in place and offer you support. A V-cut in the back reduces the amount of fabric on your torso and keeps you from overheating while you exercise. The synthetic fabric ensures they won’t be see-through, and the stylish design will keep you looking fab and fit.

Personal Perspective

After trying multiple maternity leggings, I found that these Ingrid & Isabel leggings strike a nice balance between quality and affordability. Although the fabric isn't as sturdy as I initially hoped, they work well for low-impact workouts like yoga or Pilates, and they've been comfortable throughout my pregnancy. While the fit at the top of the belly is a little loose, I expect it to improve as my pregnancy progresses, making these leggings a practical and budget-friendly choice overall.

Essentials for Mothers Maternity Stretch Leggings

Stretchy but Supportive

These moisture-wicking leggings offer good back and posture support, which is super important when you’re carrying extra weight in the front. They even come in both black and brown options, so if you buy one of each, you’ll have something to go with every top in your closet.

Community Feedback

I'm really enjoying these maternity leggings as they provide a comfortable fit without being too tight or loose around my belly. The material is stretchy and allows for easy movement, though it did start to pill in the crotch area after a while. They're a bit see-through, so I always wear a long shirt with them. The leggings are also quite long, but I find that to be a minor inconvenience considering how comfortable and affordable they are.

Motherhood Fleece Maternity Leggings

Lovely for Layering

Seamless, fleece-lined, and able to be worn either mid-belly or under the belly, these versatile leggings will keep you warm both during and after pregnancy. Plus, they’re thick enough to avoid being see-through, so you can make sure your tush will stay covered and comfortable.

First-Hand Impression

I recently tried these maternity leggings and while they're comfortable and decently warm, they don't quite provide the support and stretch needed for a growing baby bump. The waistband has a nice slight compression, but the leggings tend to slip down over time. On the upside, the leggings are soft and cozy with a fleece lining, but they do pill quickly after a few wears. I found the sizing to be accurate, but if you have a larger belly, it might be better to size up for the mid-pregnancy months.

Essentials for Mothers Navy Maternity Leggings

In the Navy

The super-comfy, synthetic construction of these leggings prevents them from being see-through. They will grow with you throughout your pregnancy and can even be used after pregnancy while you’re still waiting to get back into your regular clothes.

I recently tried these maternity leggings and found them to be a lifesaver during my pregnancy. They are extremely comfortable, stretchy, and made from a breathable material that kept me cool. However, I did notice that I had to pull them up occasionally, and they tended to attract hair easily. Despite these minor drawbacks, the leggings are true to size and have been a go-to choice for me during my last trimester.

Cloya Active Maternity Capri Leggings

Next Level Flex

The fabric on these pants stretches in four directions, keeping it from pulling or fitting uncomfortably as it expands over your growing body. The seam’s stitching was designed to minimize chafe, and the nylon/spandex construction makes these a great choice to wear to your fitness class.

Personal Perspective

My experience with these maternity leggings has been quite positive overall. The fabric is thick and durable, ensuring they are not see-through, and the fun print adds a nice touch. As for sizing, I found that they are a bit tight in the belly band area, but they offer enough room for growth throughout pregnancy. They are comfortable for both working out and lounging around, and I appreciate that they stay in place without rolling down. Although the belly band may require some adjustment for optimal comfort, these leggings are a great option for expecting mothers.

Motherhood Maternity Crop Leggings

Lightweight Wardrobe Staple

The cotton construction on these pants makes them breathable, and the secret-fit crossover panel will expand through several phases of pregnancy. The capri-length cut will help you stay cool, and the cute silhouette will keep you in great summer style.

I recently purchased these maternity leggings and found them to be incredibly comfortable and soft. The fit was perfect for my growing baby bump, and the fabric felt more like athletic wear rather than typical sweats. However, they were a bit on the sheer side, so be cautious when wearing them out and about. The only downside is the lack of pockets, which would have been a nice addition.

Three Seasons Maternity Capri Leggings

Designed to FIT

These cotton leggings will keep you cool, as will the capri cut. The waistband is also versatile, so you can roll it up or down, depending on your preference. Because of this, you’ll also be able to wear it well into the postpartum period, making this an economical choice for the woman who wants to get as much mileage out of her maternity clothes as possible.

First-Hand Impression

When I first tried these leggings, I wasn't a fan and even considered returning them. However, as my pregnancy progressed, they became a staple in my wardrobe. I found that folding the band down like a regular yoga pant made them much more comfortable. These leggings are perfect for lounging around the house or as pajamas, but might be too loose for workouts. While the material is a bit thin, I appreciate that they can also be used for nursing post-pregnancy, just make sure to size down for a better fit.

Motherhood Maternity Plus-Size Maternity Leggings

Adjusts to Your Body

The jersey knit of these leggings makes them super soft and comfortable, and the secret-fit belly panel was designed to grow with you throughout your pregnancy. And since they were designed for plus-sized pregnant women, they’ll expand in just the right ways and will keep you comfy even after your delivery.

My experience with these leggings has been fantastic, as they provide a comfortable and stretchy fit for my growing baby bump. The soft, breathable fabric doesn't attract dog hair and feels more like athletic wear than sweatpants. Although the material is a bit sheer in some areas, these leggings are perfect for casual walks or lounging around the house. The only minor drawback is the lack of pockets, but overall, I am thrilled with this purchase and wear them frequently during my pregnancy.

Beyond Yoga Maternity Capri Leggings

For the Yoga Mamas

The construction of these maternity leggings helps keep these opaque, while the waistband offers you posture support and prevents your pants from sliding down during your workout. The super-stretch design will fit you throughout your pregnancy and will even be comfy enough to wear home from the hospital.

Community Feedback

I've been wearing these leggings for a while now, and they've proven to be quite comfortable and supportive, especially around my growing belly. However, the material is a bit thinner than I expected, making them more suitable for wearing under longer tops or dresses. The fit is nice and stretchy, accommodating my thighs and hips without issue. The only downside is that they can be a bit itchy at times, so it takes some getting used to the fabric against my skin.

How to Choose the Best Maternity Leggings

  • Fabric: Nearly all leggings will be made of synthetic or partly synthetic fabrics as they need to stretch. Cotton can be super comfy, but it can become see-through if stretched too far. Nylon-lycra will provide full coverage, but it may have more of a sheen. Choose a material that will provide both the coverage and the aesthetic you’re looking for.
  • Thickness: Leggings come in all different opacities. Extra thickness not only provides coverage but it keeps you warm. You can even get fleece-lined leggings. If you tend to run hot (as many women do during pregnancy), you’ll want to skip thick tights.
  • Length: Leggings come in full-length or capri-length styles. If you’re self-conscious about your varicose veins, you may be more comfortable choosing a full-length option.
  • Washing Instructions: Check the care instructions. Many brands will tell you to hand-wash or hang your leggings to dry. Some must even be dry cleaned. Make sure you choose leggings with care instructions you’ll be willing to follow.
  • Belly Panel: Some leggings have a belly panel just like regular maternity pants. Others are designed to be worn below the belly. Still, others have a crossover panel that you can either roll down or up, depending on your preference.
