The Best Maternity Overalls of 2024

Here’s what your fellow moms found to be the best maternity overalls in every shape, size, and style.

Aedvoouer Women's Wide Leg Linen Overalls

Best Plus-Size

The Aedvoouer Women’s Jumpsuits Overalls is an easy winner. With a range of sizes up to XXXXL and ultra-stretchy fabric, these might just fit you through your entire pregnancy.

We especially loved checking out the wide variety of reviews with photos. It’s always helpful to see other women rocking the style before you buy.

Another cool perk is that you can grab these in brown, black, green, or blue. That means that you can mix it up with different styles that create unique looks. When it comes to plus-size maternity overall that you can wear forever, we’re loving these.

User Experience

I'm absolutely thrilled with these lightweight and comfy overalls! After taking the advice to size up for a baggier fit, they became the perfect addition to my loungewear wardrobe. The material is almost linen-like, making them versatile enough for both casual outings and online meetings while working from home.

StyleDome Women's Strappy Pocket Loose Romper Bib

Best Petite

With a massive selection of styles and colors, StyleDome overalls are a winner for any woman. We especially love the Black-897663 model for an ultra-flattering look. The slim-fit leg and black color keep this look sleek and chic.

As we short ladies know all too well, it’s not always easy to get the right length. This is doubly true when it comes to one-piece picks like overalls and jumpers. The ties on StyleDome Black-897663 make these infinitely adjustable — good for the bump and short legs alike!

While we love the adorable style, the material isn’t super durable so this may not be a long-term investment.

Personal Perspective

My experience with these anti-patriarchy overalls has been quite positive for the most part. I found them to be super cute and comfortable, perfect for summer months and even as a swimsuit cover-up. The adjustable tie straps and the side cinching added to the overall appeal, although I did notice some minor issues like the fabric becoming scratchy on very hot days and a faint chemical odor when I first opened the package. The overalls are lightweight, made from a cotton/linen blend, and come in various lovely colors. However, the fit may not be perfect for everyone, as they can be a bit baggy on the sides for slimmer individuals and the leg length could be awkward for those with longer legs. Despite these minor drawbacks, I have received numerous compliments and am generally happy with this purchase.

Yeokou Women's Loose Linen Summer Overalls

Most Affordable

Wowza! Every color of the rainbow in a breathable linen material for less than 20 dollars? We are loving these super practical and affordable overalls.

Far from your basic denim overalls, you can get these adorable overalls in shades of burgundy, coffee, navy, and green. When it comes to cool summer maternity looks, this is it.

And anybody who says that women’s clothes never have pockets hasn’t seen these overalls. We aren’t just talking side pockets, but a chest pocket and two rear pockets (that actually fit things).

The only drawback is the lack of adjustable straps. Fortunately, the linen material makes it flexible, but it might not suit every height.

Community Feedback

When I first received these overalls, I was excited about the lightweight and comfortable feel of the cotton-linen blend, perfect for hot weather. I noticed the material was quite thin and sheer, but the color and style were as pictured, making them super cute and stylish for casual outings. However, I found that the sizing was a bit off, with the overalls being too snug and short for my usual size, so I'd recommend sizing up for a more comfortable and baggy fit. After washing them, I experienced noticeable shrinkage, leading me to adjust the shoulder straps to fit better. Despite the material's tendency to wrinkle easily, I've received numerous compliments on these overalls and enjoy their breezy, summery feel. Just keep in mind that they may not be suitable for more formal occasions or work due to the thin material and wrinkling.

Yesno Loose Bib Pants with Wide Leg Jumpsuits

Best Linen

If you are looking for a super versatile section of linen maternity overalls, look no further. You will find these in everything from size small to XXXXXL.

From solid black to hot pink floral prints, these maternity overalls 20+ shades and prints. We especially love the modern neutrals and cool geometric prints.

The only drawback of these overalls is that they don’t have adjustable straps. That means they either fit you or they don’t.

First-Hand Impression

I'm a 5'10" tall individual who often struggles with finding rompers that fit, but this one was perfect! The lightweight fabric is comfortable for casual outings or even yard work, and the adjustable straps provide a great fit. I was pleasantly surprised by the roomy pockets, which are actually functional. Just be cautious when washing – I recommend a cold wash and hanging to dry to avoid any shrinkage or damage.

Motherhood Maternity Skinny Ankle Length Denim Overalls

Best Denim

For a modern and trendy denim maternity overall, you’re going to love this destructed style. With a skinny fit and ankle length, this style checks all of the boxes. The frayed hem and holes in the knees add a cool factor. If you’re on the hunt for your best maternity overalls, you are going to love these. Best of all, the straps will transition through every month of your pregnancy and beyond.

Moms especially loved the material’s flexibility and durability. These features make it easy to get up, down, and spin around! One thing to consider, however, is the side panel. While it adds comfort, it also means you’re not likely to wear these after the baby comes.

User Experience

My experience with these maternity overalls has been fantastic - they're not only comfortable but also stylish. I've been able to wear them throughout my pregnancy, and they've easily accommodated my growing bump. The stretchy material and wider ankle make them perfect for all-day wear, even when pants are the last thing I want to put on. I've received numerous compliments on them and appreciate that they might even work post-pregnancy.

Romwe A-Line Adjustable Straps Pleated Mini Dress

Maternity Overall Dress

From sky blue to carnation pink, you can find the Romwe overalls in all of your favorite colors. With a simple tee, you can create a casual or dressed-up style. Pair it with a black tee and heels for a night out. Pair it with your fave t-shirt and sneakers for the perfect everyday look.

The adjustable straps and low open back create a comfortable and flexible fit. Do note the length, however, which means it can be too short for taller moms. You’ll also find the style will likely be too restricted in the third trimester.

Personal Perspective

Got this dress for my daughter and she absolutely adores it. The fit is perfect for her slender frame and the length is just right, making her feel comfortable and confident. The material, however, feels a bit cheap and the zipper seems fragile, so I'm cautious when zipping and unzipping. Despite that, the dress is quite flattering and has become a favorite in her wardrobe.

Dickies Denim Bib Overall With Scuffgard

Most Durable

For more than 100 years, this is the brand that workmen have trusted. But you don’t need to be working on the rails to appreciate this incredible quality! These denim overalls resist snags and tears, while the sturdy triple-stitching will make them last.

On top of the durability, we adore the classic blue and white striped look with that iconic Dickies label. While we love 100% cotton’s comfort, you’ll have to wash with cold water and avoid the dryer to prevent shrinking.

Choose these overalls for a not-too-baggy, but flexible style in early pregnancy.

Community Feedback

These overalls have a beautiful color and feel soft, but the sizing can be quite tricky. I initially tried a medium, but they were too tight for gardening, so I exchanged them for a large. However, the larger size was too long, resulting in me having to cuff the legs and deal with uncomfortably wide leg openings. The overall functionality and comfort were decent, but I found myself preferring the Carhartt Women's Crawford Double Front Bib Overalls for a more accurate fit.

Yesno Hand Painted Loose Fit Cropped Overalls

Best Distressed Denim

For a one-of-a-kind look, these distressed denim maternity overalls are a dream come true. Choose your own hand-painted design and look like the creative and fun mom-to-be that you are.

With adjustable straps and wide fits, this look is practical for maternity. If you have a smaller frame, however, you might feel like you are swimming in this wide style.

We love the soft and breathable 100% cotton fabric. While they’re great for warm weather, they do need to be hand-washed to preserve the paint. Some moms report that a delicate washing cycle works as well, but plan for special care.

First-Hand Impression

After purchasing these oversized overalls, I found them to be both comfortable and stylish. The material is soft and lightweight, making them perfect for warmer weather. However, the fasteners are cheap and the pocket placement is a bit awkward, pointing towards the crotch area. Despite these minor issues, I am happy with my purchase and look forward to wearing them often.

MakeMeChic Drawstring Waist Overall Jumpsuit

Best Drawstring

Missing those cozy tracksuits but don’t want to wear an elastic waistband right now? For a cotton fit with a flattering but comfortable waist, this is it.

Available in blue, black, or grey, this might just be your new favorite look. Best of all, you can wear it without a shirt underneath for a cool and comfy look.

The only drawback to this look is that it doesn’t have an adjustable strap so it either fits or it doesn’t.

User Experience

Great maternity overall that offers comfort and style! I bought this for my pregnant friend who's 5'2 and 140lbs, and the medium size fit her perfectly. She loves the soft feel and how it allows her to grow into it throughout her pregnancy. However, some people might find the material to be scratchy and lacking stretch, especially around the hips and thighs. A downside is that it doesn't have any pockets, which would have been useful for carrying essentials like a phone and keys.

AvaCostume Adjustable Strap Ripped Denim Overalls

Best Distressed Denim Capri

We are loving the vintage vibe of these cool distressed overalls. Available in sizes extra small through XXL with practical adjustable straps, these overalls are as adaptable as they come.

Most moms find them to be true-to-size and adaptable. Thanks to the 86/14 Cotton-Polyester, they are easy to care for but still comfy. Whether you are after maternity overalls or clothes for nursing, these are a winner.

The distressed denim and perfectly placed holes make these a great everyday look. We love them in the dark wash denim and light wash denim alike. While these are an ultra-popular look, we could take or leave the faux leather patch in the middle.

Personal Perspective

From personal experience, these overalls are stylish and have a great color wash. However, finding the perfect fit can be a bit tricky, as the sizing seems to be inconsistent in various areas like the hip, rear, and leg length. I discovered that the bib part was quite long, and I had to cuff the legs twice due to my height. Despite these issues, I received many compliments while wearing them, but the clasps do appear to be fragile, so handle with care.

Klorim Ripped Adjustable Lace-up Denim Shortalls

Best Distressed Denim Shorts

When it comes to the perfect maternity overalls, these are good picks for early pregnancy. We’re loving the distressed style and rough but practical denim style.

Not only are the straps adjustable, but there is a drawstring waist that you can adjust in the back. If you’ll be in the first half of your pregnancy during the summer, this is a top pick.

Community Feedback

These maternity overalls are adorable and affordable, but do run a bit small for those with a longer torso or who are further along in their pregnancy. I appreciated the extra buttons and adjustable straps to help accommodate my growing bump, but I did find the waist seam to be somewhat snug, causing a slight muffin top. The denim quality is thick and sturdy, though there isn't much give, making sizing up a good idea for extra comfort. One downside I experienced was the straps coming undone after washing, indicating they might need better stitching.

Chimikeey Short Camo Jumpsuit/ Overall Shorts

Best Short Overalls

We are loving the fresh style of these bold and trendy overalls (especially those blue and red ones — wow!). As cool as they are practical, these are the kind of comfy shorts that you will want to live in.

With adjustable straps, a wide opening at the side, and a drawstring waist, you can size these up and down. We’re especially loving the addition of spandex to this lightweight fabric blend.

From your first trimester to breastfeeding and beyond, these are a permanent addition to your wardrobe.

First-Hand Impression

These overall shorts are incredibly comfortable and quite affordable. I'm a mom of three, and the XL size fits me well at 5'5 with some extra room in the lower stomach area. The material is soft and doesn't make you sweat, and the adjustable straps are convenient. The shorts are a bit shorter than expected and tend to ride up, but they still look cute and stylish. The only minor issue is that the bottom of the shorts needs constant adjustment to stay rolled, but overall, it's a great purchase for a casual summer outfit.

Everly Grey Natalie Maternity Nursing Overalls

Best Nursing Overalls

We would give these ten stars if we could! It was clearly an experienced mom who designed these. From the stretchy and comfortable fabric to the nursing-friendly fit, these are a dream.

You can wear these at different stages in pregnancy and adjust the ties for the perfect fit. When that bundle of joy is here, you can pull the top to the side for hassle-free nursing.

As a bonus, that front kangaroo pocket is perfect for carrying around your phone and mom must-haves.

Johnny's Mama Belly Support Overalls

Best Adjustable Denim

For a style that supports and expands, we love Johnny’s Mama. You can adjust the straps and expand the stomach straps. This allows you to more evenly distribute the weight to your upper back and shoulders.

Not only can this cut reduce back strain and overall pressure points but it’ll take the weight off your pubic bone and bladder.

While these are super practical, you’re definitely not going to wear this postpartum. On top of that, these are admittedly not the chicest look!

Personal Perspective

From personal experience, these maternity overalls are both comfortable and supportive throughout pregnancy. The adjustable straps can be a bit tricky, and the lack of pockets is a drawback, but overall the fit and style are great. They accommodate a growing belly and provide support for those dealing with pain and discomfort during pregnancy.

Coolmee Scoop Neck Tank Top Summer Short Jumpsuit

Best Alternative

We are ready to live in this jumpsuit every single day forever! This absolutely adorable romper is perfect for everyday wear. From pretty pastel to on-trend tie-dye to chic black and white stripes, there is a pick you’re going to love.

With butter-soft cotton and a relaxed fit, this jumpsuit is as comfy as a cloud. On top of that, the drawstring style allows you to cinch the waist for a flattering look.

With a rayon-polyester-spandex blend, these are easy to move and ultra-easy to care for. Like most jumpsuit looks, however, they’ll be a hassle in the bathroom. With no buttons or zips, you’ve got to take the whole outfit off (not ideal when you’re always peeing)!

Community Feedback

Best maternity romper that I've tried so far! I've worn this romper several times, and it's super comfortable and easy to wear around the house. It has a soft material and plenty of extra room for my growing baby bump. However, the material did start to bead in the front after a few washes on delicate and hang dry, showing that it's not the highest quality. Additionally, I wish it had pockets and the tie was positioned a bit lower, but overall, it's a cute and cozy option for expectant mothers.

Loving People Loose Fit Capri Jumpsuits

Best Transitional Style

For a perfect summer and spring style, the Loving People jumpsuit has it all. The comfortable and soft material allows it to stretch through your entire pregnancy. After that bundle of joy arrives, you’ve got the perfect look for every day of the week.

From tie-dye to camo, you can find a wide range of styles that you’re going to adore from this brand. The on-trend pastel is sure to be our go-to summer style. Meanwhile, for a slightly more dressed-up style, the black picks with sleeves are chic and fun.

First-Hand Impression

Definitely a comfortable and stylish choice, this jumpsuit exceeded my expectations with its soft, stretchy fabric and adjustable straps. While the pockets are a nice touch, they can droop when holding heavier items like a phone or keys. The fit is generally true to size, but I did find the top to be a bit loose, even with the strap adjuster.

Everly Grey Nani Maternity/ Nursing Overall

Best Spring Overalls

What a breath of fresh air! For a bright and pretty maternity overall that will perfectly transition into a nursing top, this look is primo. With gold accent buttons, this look will give you compliments every single time you wear it.

While this look is stylish, it’s not the most practical pick. While we’d love to be the kind of moms who can look flawless in summery white styles, it’s not easy! This bright white look might not look so fresh when you’re caring for a newborn.

User Experience

In my experience, this maternity wear has been exceptionally comfortable during my 9-month pregnancy. The design and materials provide excellent breathability for warmer weather, making it a staple in my wardrobe. I've found that wearing this clothing item has significantly improved my overall comfort. The combination of style and functionality makes it a great choice for expecting mothers seeking both fashion and ease.

Spadehill Women's Casual Loose Fit Jumpsuit with Pocket

Best Cotton Capri

The v-neck cut and spaghetti straps on these capri overalls create a casual and flattering style. Grab a classic in jet black, casual grey, coffee brown, or navy blue. For a pop of color, check out the forest green or cotton candy pink.

While it would be nice to see these with an adjustable strap, the cotton material makes them versatile. The stretchy fabric creates an easy fit in a range of sizes.

Although most moms love the fit, the straps aren’t adjustable. That means either fits well or it doesn’t — be sure to try it on before you cut those tags!

Personal Perspective

Got this jumpsuit recently and I must say it's super comfortable for wearing around the house. The soft material feels great against the skin, but the cut isn't very flattering for those with a tummy, so I don't wear it out often. I appreciate the versatility of this jumpsuit as it can be dressed up with accessories or kept casual with flip flops. One downside is that it tends to cling to lint, and I wish it were more flowy and less clingy.

Shopessa Stretchy Overalls

Best Floral

Available in small to 5-XL in a range of colors, this cool Shopessa style is a fresh and fun style. We love the practical tie straps that make these overall adjustable and easy to wear.

While this is a smart summer look, it might run a bit too short of taller women. It is also essential to note that the style runs small so it can be tricky to find the right size. Opt for one size up from your usual pick.

Relipop Women's Shorts Overall with Pockets

Best Summer Overalls

We are loving these white Relipop overalls! This thick but stretchy material is durable but flexible. Thanks to the adjustable straps, you can make this look work for you through every trimester.

For a white-hot look that you are going to want to wear all summer long, this is it. We wish they came in a few more color options but they’re a solid option for basics.

Before you order, check out the sizing guide. Since it’s a polyester fabric, it won’t stretch as much as other options. Consider opting for a larger size.

First-Hand Impression

From my experience, these overalls have a stylish and flattering cut but are made from a thin denim-like fabric that's not as soft as expected. The sizing tends to be on the larger side, so consider that when ordering. While I've received many compliments when wearing them, the clasps on the straps can be a hassle as they sometimes come undone or are difficult to open. Keep in mind, these overalls may shrink a little after washing and drying, but remain comfortable and fun to wear.

Gihuo Women's Baggy Overalls Jumpsuit with Pockets

Best Year Round

These cult favorites are amongst the best maternity overalls for so many women’s wardrobes. The breathable linen fabric makes them perfect for summer. Throw on a tank and you’re ready to go.

These overalls are perfect for cooler months as well. Thanks to the rich tones, you can layer them for an all-season style.

As you’re shopping, keep in mind it’s a linen material. That means it’ll be somewhat sheer (especially those light colors).

User Experience

My experience with these overalls has been quite a journey. At first, I was a bit taken aback by the size discrepancy as the Xlarge I initially ordered turned out to be too baggy, despite my preference for a looser fit. The color was another surprise - the brick red had a cinnamon hue, and the grey had a brownish undertone. Nevertheless, I found the overall design quite endearing, and they proved to be a versatile piece of attire, serving both as a casual outfit for the beach and a chic ensemble for rooftop cocktails. However, I noticed some shrinkage after following the washing instructions, making them fit tighter than I typically prefer. While the fabric isn't exactly linen as advertised, the blend of cotton with a hint of linen gives it a unique, lightweight feel which is perfect for summer.

Motherhood Maternity Denim Shortalls

Best Cuffed Hem Shorts

For a shortall with hems, this look from Motherhood Maternity is a top pick. The fit is flattering and functional. With adjustable straps and no waistband, you can wear this throughout your pregnancy.

The blend of cotton and spandex will stretch as you move, which keeps them comfy. Compared to other overalls though, they’re form-fitting so be sure to check the sizing guide.

Personal Perspective

Bought these maternity overalls and they exceeded my expectations. The fabric was soft, stretchy, and accommodating to my growing belly. I found them flattering and received numerous compliments each time I wore them. Notably, they were also accommodating to my changing size throughout my pregnancy, a feature I appreciated given my increasing weight. However, I did notice they were a bit snug after washing, though they would soften up after about an hour of wear.

Levi's Vintage Shortall

Best Light Wash Shortall

When it comes to denim, you can’t be Levi’s. Their quality is second to none and the adjustable strap plus size shortalls are a boon for moms. The light wash makes them cheery and bright for summer but still practical for everyday wear.

We still wish they came in a maternity size! While they recommend the plus size for maternity wear, the cuts of the sizing aren’t always ideal.

Community Feedback

I recently purchased these overalls and found them to be both comfortable and stylish. As a person with specific fit preferences, I was relieved that they catered to my needs, although I did have to adjust the straps to get the perfect length.

YesNo Baggy Cotton Overalls Jumpsuits

Baggy Cotton

If you are looking for the perfect pair of cozy overalls, YesNo is a solid option. In sizes small to XXXL with stretchy material, you will find your perfect fit here.

You can opt for adjustable straps for added customization or grab the adorable ones with button accents. While we are fans of the cute spaghetti straps, it’s hard to imagine them lasting forever. For a more durable pick, consider the wider strap.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the fabric has a shine. The viscose material creates a chic style but can be disappointing if you’re expecting a matte style.

Flygo Wide Leg Drop Crotch Cropped Overalls

Wide Leg

Loving this new wide-leg trend? You aren’t alone there! For a comfortable and on-trend style, it’s all about Flygo overalls.

Grab a modern wide-leg pair of overalls or go hippy chic in an oversize cut. This brand has an assortment of wide-leg fits for every style.

We just wish they would size them! While the material is ultra-flexible, a better range of sizes would be a great perfect.

User Experience

Got this cute overall recently and found the corduroy detail to be quite charming. Though it was a bit snug for my liking, the denim material was comfortable and perfect for gardening or casual outings. Despite some minor imperfections like seams at the hips and wide-open sides, this overall still looked great with a long-sleeve tee and a jean jacket, earning me compliments every time I wore it.

Choosing the Best Maternity Overalls

Goodbye, waistband! Hello, comfortable and cozy overalls. These everyday essentials are a must for any mom-to-be, but how do you choose the perfect pair?

In our experience, it’s all about the big four: size, style, comfort, and budget. Finding that perfect balance between all four is the holy grail. To help you on your mission, let’s dive into the essentials to find your perfect pick.

Sizing

When you are trying to find the right size of overalls, look at adjustable straps. If you can vary the size significantly with straps, you can wear them throughout your pregnancy.

With adjustable straps, you can also size them accordingly after your pregnancy. As a bonus, those drop-down flaps are a dream when you’re breastfeeding!

Another factor to consider is the stretch in the material. If you opt for stretchy cotton material, you are going to have more flexibility. With denim, however, sizing can be more hit or miss.

For stiffer materials like denim, look at the brand sizing guide to decide the right fit for you. You will often find dress sizing (e.g. size 2-20). On the other hand, with cotton materials, you’ll often see an XS to XL style of sizing.

Style

The style that you choose is going to affect the comfort and fit as well. If you opt to wear skirt overalls, you will have a pretty flexible fit. (Be wary, though, of too short styles that can ride up!)

With pants, shorts, and capris, you will want to look carefully at the sizing, especially with those stiffer materials. Check out options with side panels that give more flexibility. These are great for added comfort but aren’t always practical postpartum, so it’s a tradeoff.

The perfect style of overalls does depend on your lifestyle and climate as well. If you live in a warm region, you might get a lot of wear out of breathable cotton overalls. Meanwhile, in a cold climate, denim overalls can be prime for layering.

Comfort

The cut and material don’t just affect your style, they also affect comfort. When you choose a fuller coverage look like a romper or overalls, comfort is paramount. With the wrong style, you can have a look that is literally pulling from shoulder to ankle.

Look carefully at the cut and material. Check out reviews and try it on before you cut off those tags. We highly recommend ordering through Amazon because you can read reviews and easily return items as needed.

Budget

Practical overalls are a smart investment because they are versatile. Best of all, you can get away with wearing your favorite non-maternity shirts underneath. Since they are more full coverage, you can’t see the bottom of your shirt (and any belly that sticks out!).

Not only do maternity overalls work well with any shirt, but you can wear them long after your baby is born. Compared with maternity jeans, they tend to be a better investment. With this in mind, you might justify spending a bit more on maternity overalls than jeans.

That said, there is no right or wrong amount. Order a few pairs, try them out, then see if they are worth the cash for you.

Let’s Get Dressed!

Alright, mom, did you find the best maternity overalls for you? Are you going to go with a classic denim overall or mix things up? Whether you are looking for summer shortalls or thick overalls that’ll keep you warm, now is the time to get stocked up.

When you slide on the perfect pair, you are going to be a devoted overall fan for life!
